Bub and I love sushi. We have our regular place we order from (which I’ll write about another time), but we recently ventured beyond our routine to try a new spot that opened just a couple weeks ago.
Tanuki Sushi is a small place, located on Fraser Highway in Langley, beside the Arby’s. If you’re not looking for it, you might drive right past because their sign is a bit small and gets overwhelmed by the other signs around it.
While the choice of location may be questionable, we were both impressed by the decor and the food. Once inside, Tanuki is clean and simple and the food is great! We ordered our typical rolls, tempura, gyoza and chicken yakisoba and all were very, very good! I wasn’t feeling up for sashimi that night, so will make a point of going back to test out the quality.
Bub and I both commented on the fact that we may have to broaden our sushi choices to include Tanuki more regularly.
