Ok, that was a cheesy headline to get your attention…he’s not really coming to South Surrey (as far as I know.) But his brand is! In the form of the Steve Nash Sports Club. The club is set to open at Morgan Crossing on 24th Avenue by the Spring of 2010.
This state-of-the-art fitness facility offers an upscale, stunning environment in which to workout, with a fantastic selection of classes and personal training options. Their Vancouver location is designed to contribute to “whole health and sustainable living”, meaning they consider the impact of their operations on the environment and follow the green design standards of the LEED rating system. I can only assume the South Surrey location will be equally as environmentally-friendly, which is fantastic!
On a related note, I was pleased to read in the Vancouver Sun article announcing the sports club that the same complex at Morgan Crossing will house a total of 65 retail tenants, including “upscale restaurants and high-end fashion outlets.” Can’t wait to find out that they are. No doubt there will be at least a few that will enthuse us Urban Suburbans!
