My girlfriend N introduced me to this charming little shop in Langley over the weekend and I couldn’t be happier!  It’s definitely a new favourite and a perfect addition to My Urban Suburban, since they describe themselves as “the feeling of a downtown boutique in your own backyard.”

The House of Delovely is set inside an adorable historic house at the five corners round-about in Murrayville.  The boutique has a traditional charm, with almost a fifties-esque charisma.  But not cheesy fifties.  I’m talking the beautiful, elegant fifties style with its Parisian haute-couture and glamourous women like Mariyln Munroe and Grace Kelly.  In a word, it’s lovely…as the name suggests.

Inside the store, you’ll find all sorts of fun things: delightful cards and stationary, lovely patterened boxes of matches, stunning vases, picture frames, wall hangings and home accessories, a delicious assortment of bath products and lotions, gorgeous jewelry, pretty umbrella’s and much, much more!  Some of my personal favourite items included the gift sets from Urban Aid, their selection of Lug Travel Bags (you’ve seen these practical totes featured on Oprah and in the pages of In Style and Canadian Living), as well as their kids section, which had awesome pieces like Mally Bibs (LOVE these durable, washable, reversible, dependable and adorable baby bibs!) and locally-made baby blankets, dolls and diaper bags.  The Auntie in me is already planning her next shopping spree!!

Check them out.  I’m sure you will love, love, love this adorable little shop.
