I’m a huge supporter local artisans and designers, but sometimes it can be a challenge to find stylish and contemporary locally handmade products all in one place. And a person doesn’t always want to drive into the city for Portobello Market! But I’m happy to tell you that friends Sharalee Prang and Sarah Hardy have come up with an answer to this dilemma. It’s called The Polka Dot Market and the inaugural event is taking place this Saturday in Abbotsford!
Featuring a small group of local artisans, such as Gingerly Designs, All Buttoned Up and Superfly Lullabies (among others) the event aims to present modern and stylish pieces from local, up-and-coming designers.
If all goes well, the girls hope to host the event twice a year, in Spring and Fall. So check ‘em out and support some of our talented local business people.
