For absolutely no good reason, it has taken me a long time to get this post written. I’ve been told about this lovely little cafe and retail shoppe for months and then of course it took me forever to get there. Well, I should have gotten there sooner! I’m in love!
Built in the re-modelled Aldergrove fire hall, this fabulous tea shoppe, cafe and retail store features delicious goodies and eats, as well as fine coffees and specialty teas. Of course, what they’re best known for are the traditional Milsean candies and Irish treats, including the Demerara Caramel Sauces and Chocolate Barks, as well as the mouth-watering Drinking Chocolate and Cake in a Jar. Honestly, Cake in a Jar??!! Does it get any better than that?
Actually yes. Because in addition to their host of sweet treats and yummy pastries, they’ve packed their shoppe with fabulous retail items ranging from jewellery from Sugarlime and Cocoon, Lug Bags and other purses, adorable gift cards, fabulous cookbooks, specialty cooking sauces and spices, home decor items and accessories, as well as kids toys and books.
Seriously, Milsean has it all: Shopping, delectable treats, specialty coffees and teas…and to top it ALL off, a warm, inviting and comfortable atmosphere in which to hang out, laugh with friends and relax.
