My Urban Suburban

Hey Everyone,

I had to take a moment to share my new favourite blog with you…you’ll LOVE it!  I was recently introduced to it by my colleague KO and am now totally addicted!  It’s not local (sorry) but it’s right up our Urban Suburban alley! 

The Pioneer Woman.Com is a blog written by Ree Drummond.  She’s “a thirty-something ranch wife, mother of four, moderately-agoraphobic middle child who grew up on a golf course in the city.” 

As she says: “I attended college in Los Angeles and wore black pumps to work every day. I ate sushi and treated myself to pedicures on a semi-regular basis. I even kissed James Garner in an elevator once. Then, on a brief trip to my hometown, I met and fell in love with a rugged cattle rancher. Now I live in the middle of nowhere on a working cattle ranch. My days are spent wrangling children, chipping dried manure from boots, washing jeans, and frying calf nuts. I have no idea how I got here…but you know what? I love it. Don’t tell anyone.”

How apropos, right?  You will kill yourself laughing about her adventures and if you have the time, please, please read her Love Story, called Black Heels to Tractor Wheels (such a great title.)  I’ll admit, I peed my pants a little reading it…

Apart from being hilarious, Ree’s blog is full of helpful info, tips and tricks on topics from Home & Garden, Photography, Homeschooling, Cooking and just about anything else you can think of.

I’m quite certain there are many of you who will add this blog to your list of Favourites.
