I ran the Vancouver 1/2 marathon this summer, but almost destroyed my knee, so I’ve decided to do a Triathlon next summer! I don’t even own at bike at the moment, so it should be interesting…
I have a background in swimming though, and while it’s been a few years since I’ve been in a pool for any other reason other than being thrown in at a party, or cooling off after hours of sun, I figured it couldn’t be that hard.
So last Wednesday, my girlfriend N and I hit up Langley City’s outdoor pool, Al Anderson Memorial Pool, for our inaugural swim. I won’t tell you how exhausted I was by the workout…but I will tell you how much I loved Al Anderson! Have you been?
This 25 metre, 8-lane heated outdoor pool, is open May to August and they offer lane swims, family swims, early-bird and nightowl swims, swimming lessons and they host a ton of fun family activities throughout the summer!
Located in the heart of City Park, the pool is surrounded by trees, ball parks and picnic areas. Head over there, pick up a schedule of activities and plan for some cool, refreshing fun in the sun this summer!
