This Friday, July 31st, will mark the final voyage of the Albion Ferry, which has been connecting Maple Ridge and Langley over the Fraser River since June, 1957. One final sailing will leave at noon from each side of the river, marking the end of an era.
Designated an official historical site in Maple Ridge in 2007, the Albion ferry was host to millions of vehicle and foot passengers every year. Friday will be a sad day for many in the community who have enjoyed the leisurely and picturesque crossing for over 50 years.
Thanks for the memories!
