Happy Birthday Blog! 

I realized this morning that on August 3rd, this little blog of mine will turn 1 year old!  Wow, time does fly.  I can’t believe how much has happened this year.  What started out as a site for my friends and family, has turned into so much more – one of the best years of my life.

Not to turn this into an Oscar acceptance speech, but I do feel compelled to take this opportunity to thank some people.  I’ll be brief, but sincere.

Huge love to my readers.  Who would have thought there’d be so many of you?  I’m in awe.  Thank you!  I hope I can continue to provide you with interesting, informative and fun content for years to come!

A ginourmous thanks to the business owners and community members who’ve supported me, given guidance and promoted my site from the very beginning.  Am forever grateful.

And one last thanks to Bub, my friends and family.  You’re amazing and awesome…but you already knew that! 

So what’s next for the 2nd year of this site?  Weeeelllll, I’ve eluded to some changes over the past couple months and I promise they’re coming.

Very soon, My Urban Suburban will have an entirely new look!  Yes, we’re growing up and getting a face-lift!  Obviously we were cute before (hee), but we’re about to get a whole lot cuter!  New colours, new logo, new images…the works.  Can’t wait for you to see.

I’ll also be introducing some new content!  Primary focus will remain on great shops, fabulous events, delicious food and restaurants, and all things happening in the Fraser Valley.  But, I’ll be including a few new items and broadening our content a bit. Bub’s even joining the team, blogging once in a while about boy stuff (let’s try to be nice to him.) And we may even be bringing some fellow Urban Suburbans onboard to guest-blog from time to time (email me @ theurbansuburban@gmail.com if you’re curious/interested in this. We’ll chat.) 

It’s going to be so much fun!
