Sunday July 12th, cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to Ride the Golden Ears Bridge as part of the MEC (Mountain Equippment Co-op) Great Ride, brought to you by the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition.
MEC Great Rides are permanent circular routes that take you through beautiful country lanes, vibrant city centres and fun local festivals. The rides range from 20km to 50km along quiet roads and dedicated bike routes. Routes are designed for fun and exploration with extensions and shortcuts.

The Golden Ears Great Ride gives cyclists a choice of two start locations, the Memorial Peace Park in downtown Maple Ridge and the National Historic Site in Fort Langley, where riders will register and be given a route book and map. Along the way, riders will be guided by route markers and are encouraged to stop at celebration stations for refreshments and information. Bike merchants will be available at each station and mobile bike machines will be riding the route throughout the event. Shorter routes are also marked for family rides, where bikers can stay on either side of the bridge and still enjoy an afternoon of cycling fun.
Look for the Pitt Meadows Great Ride on August 15th and the Port Coquitlam ride on September 27th.

Hi, We go over the Golden Ears Bridge on our Twilight Set Tours and now I have started Wine Tours of the Fraser Valley. We visit 5 wineries, Krause Berry Farms and main street Fort Langley.
I love the new bridge and so far visitors has said they can’t get over how long the bridge is and are fascinated with art work.
Sounds awesome, Christine! Want to e-mail me the info? I’d love to write more about your Tours!
