Crescent Beach Toys

crescentbeachtoysAdorable new toy shop opened recently down at Crescent Beach, in White Rock.  You must check it out.

Take a step back in time with fun, quality toys like Radio Flyers, Curious George, wooden toys, adorable tea sets, and so much more.  I could spend hours in shops like this.  Whimsical, fun, and relaxed…I’d take this over Toys ‘R’ Us anyday!

My only nit-picky complaint/comment is with the steps out front…Not exactly accessible to families with strollers, or grandparents with mobility concerns trying to buy toys for their (grand)kids.  Just seems as though a shop like this would make it easier for their primary clientele to get in…

Otherwise though, a truly lovely shop.  Check it out and have fun!

  1. I visited your shop with my husband and sister-in-law and brother-in-law back in September (around 8th) I think. You may remember us, we are from England and I believe you told us you were originally from Newcastle area. We bought quite a few special toys from you to bring back home here in the UK. I asked my sister-in-law recently to visit you with the intention of buying another “Newtons Cradle” plus “Hangman” in a tin box which could be played whilst travelling. My sister-in-law managed to get the “Newtons Cradle” but not the “Hangman”. Do you have any in your shop yet please? I haven’t had a look yet on your website, I will tomorrow, but as it is now 11.00.pm I am off to bed. Maybe you could answer my question by emailing me? I was so enthralled by your shop and wish we had one here nearby. We live in Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK. Thank you for your trouble.
    Sincerely yours, Mary Smith (Mrs)

  2. Hi Mary,
I suggest you email/call the shop, as this blog is not directly associated with Crescent Beach Toys and you may not get a response from them here. Happy you enjoyed their shop though!!! It’s a favourite of mine as well.

  3. Hi Erin, thanks so much for your enthusiastic review of our store.
I am really happy you enjoyed your shopping and browsing experience. It is a source of pleasure for us that adults enjoy the store as much as the younger generations do.
You are quite correct, the beautiful building we are located in does have a set of wooden steps in front, however there is a ramp leading into the back of the Wired Monk Coffee Bistro next door and a quick stroll across the front porch will lead straight through our spacious front doors. As you know the store is large enough to easily accomodate both strollers and wheelchairs.
Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to address this concern. On behalf of everyone here at Crescent Beach Toys, we hope you will stop by and say hello sometime soon.
The Fort Toy Box is our sister store in Fort Langley and offers the same wonderful combination of quality toys from the past with carefully chosen new lines destined to become the classics of tomorrow.
    All the best to you
    Jacqui
