Hi everyone,
You’ll notice there haven’t been any posts this week. My sincere apologies for this, but it’s been a hectic week with getting this new site up and running. Promise I’ll make up for it in the coming weeks.
Sooo, you like our face lift? Before you get too picky, please know we’re still working out some kinks, so minor adjustments will be made. A website is never perfect the minute it’s launched. But I hope you like the new colours and logo, as well as some of the new features. Please feel free to look around, check things out and let me know what you think. Hopefully the new site will prove to be a little more fun, a little more fresh and a little more fabulous than it was before!
One thing that has not (and will not) change of course, is the content on the site. I remain committed to providing you with the best, most up-to-date info about the Fraser Valley, this side of the bridge & tunnel.
You’ll see that our tagline is now “discovering the fun, fresh, fabulous Fraser Valley + beyond“. I’ve added the “beyond”, so we can also include some fun field trips outside our Fraser Valley…because we Urban Suburbans don’t only enjoy life in the Valley! We visit the city every now and then, we take trips to the Okanagan, we hit up Whistler, or the Gulf Islands for a fabulous weekend getaway…we’re all over the place! I wanted My Urban Suburban to also reflect this side of our lives, so the “Field Trip” section is where you’ll find stories of some of my adventures outside the Valley, or recommendations on places to visit just beyond our Valley borders.
Anyway, I hope you like the changes. As always, comments are welcome! If you love it, hate it, or just don’t care. Let me know. I’m always happy to hear from you.

Firstly, I like the fresh and fun vibe that the site has, so congrats there!
On the down side it feels cluttered and the navigation strip at the top could be done much better (especially with “Gallery” looking like “Galleru”).
Really appreciate the feedback, “Annonymous”. Please bear with me as we work through some of the kinks (as I mentioned in my post, there are several things that still need a little tweaking now that the site is up.) One of the things already on the list to be fixed is the nav bar, because of the text being so close to the bottom line. So we are still working on many little details, which will hopefully be complete very soon!!

Nice job Erin and “Tec.” helper — I never noticed before — DUH — the enlarged – CAPITAL — first letters — that is “U” &”S” — spells “US” — what life is really about no matter where we live — it’s an “US” world after all –
